I think I just found the ultimate enhancing shooters eyewear, Hunters HD Gold!

It was back last year that I was at Steyer Arms attending their yearly open house. If you get a chance to go to this event you will be impressed I promise. Steyer is noted for high-end rifles, shotguns, and pistols and of course, they are the manufacturer of the AUG. They are conveniently located right off of Interstate 459 at exit 6 in Bessemer Alabama.

It is hard to go to Steyer and not leave with some goody to take home and play with. In my case, I left with the M9-A1 in OD Green. I have to confess…the triangle sights have grown on me and I like them. That’s another story for another day.

While there I was introduced to Brian Conley of Triple Forks Hunting LLC. Brian was working the display table for Hunters HD Gold eyewear. I found Brian to be a warm and very friendly individual who seemed like someone who actually believed in his product rather than just trying to sell it. Over the years I have used every kind of shooter glasses made I think. My last pair were custom made Wiley-X with prescription lens. Having just recently had cataracts removed I found myself no longer needing prescription glasses so this was the time to either put a plain lens in the Wiley’s or try something new. I am glad I tried something new. Hunters HD Gold are simply impressive. Nothing I have ever worn comes close.

First of all, they can be worn as regular sunglasses and prescriptions are no problem either. They have an assortment of frames and styles with removable safety shields like the Aviator HDGAVGML. They are smart looking as well as practical. Sometimes I have been quick to recommend something prematurely but in this case, that is not going to happen because I have had these for about eight months. I teach both public and private handgun and personal defense classes as well as train regularly and I have worn these HD Golds in every class. I have also worn them anytime I am on the range doing my personal training and even when dry firing I use them. So I am saying that these shooting glasses have been WELL tested!

I will not bore you with all the technical details and the science behind these glasses such as the Trivex lens. Like me, most of you probably do not care about all the science behind them but what you do care about is “do they work”?

One word, YES! And that is an understatement. After using them these months I am thoroughly convinced that these are the best of the best. I let two students in my last class try them on and they both agreed the difference in what they were seeing was incredible.
These glasses do something to light that I can’t explain. No matter how bright the sun is there is no glare. The company claims that they “change so that you don’t have to”. They are being truthful by making this claim. After all these months I have used them in the brightest sunlight, the darkest overcast days, the coldest days and in the rain. They have never failed to present clear and bright sight pictures. One of the things that really impressed me was it was getting very late in the day and I was trying to finish running my last box of reloads that I had loaded the day before. When I finished and removed the HD Gold I could not believe how dark it was compared to what I was seeing through the glasses. That did it for me. It was like getting an extra 15 or 20 minutes of range time that I would never have got had I not been wearing these glasses. I’m sold. I do not consider myself a pro but I am wearing the same shooting glasses that pros are wearing.

I encourage you to investigate the folks at Hunters HD Gold.
