The mainstream media continues to be extremely biased. I have talked to the media about guns for 21 years now, and I have never seen them so biased. The only solution is to do a lot more. With the March 24th rallies coming up, where there will be rallies across the country pushing for more gun control, things are likely to get much more difficult before they get better. Unfortunately, the knee-jerk legislative reactions in Florida, Oregon, New Jersey, and other states are going to do a lot more harm. People see a nineteen-year-old kill people in Florida with a gun, and the reaction is to ban guns for 19-year-olds. I hope that we can inject some rationality of the costs and benefit of these proposed laws.
We have tried to fight through on this with a couple op-ed pieces at Fox News and additional pieces at The Washington Times and The Hill newspaper. The pieces at Fox News have covered the school walkouts this week and why the push to increase the minimum age to buy a gun go from 18 to 21 years of age. The piece at the Washington Times takes on the bogus fact-checking by FactCheck.org, and the one at The Hill show how gun control advocates are trying to silence those they disagree. Gun controllers want to prevent those they disagree with from having a voice in the media and make it so people are ashamed to support people’s ability to defend their own lives.
We have also put up three posts that go into the bogus fact-checking done by Snopes and Politifact. The danger is that Facebook is using these organizations as well as FackCheck.org to determine what is “fake news.” This means that these gatekeepers prevent articles that they designate as fake news from ever trending in social media. I hope that you agree that these analyses of these biased fact checks are pretty devastating. These guys are ideologues who are willing to real extremes.
On radio, we have done national radio shows from Sean Hannity to a couple of times on the Larry Elder show to Coast-to-Coast Am to Radio America.
We have put out a lot of research over the last couple of weeks, some of this has been in process for a long time.
— We have a list of states that to varying degrees allow teachers and staff to carry guns and some information on the school districts in those states that let them do so.
–Research showing that those under age 21 commit very few mass public shootings, and that half of those under 21 were already banned from buying the guns used in their attacks. Fox News gave this research news coverage.
— We have updated research on accidental shootings by teachers or staff who can carry at schools. Hint: accidents at K-12 schools are amazingly rare.
— Research showing the huge spike in ambush killings of police officers during 2015 and 2016. I think that people will be interested in the huge racial changes in those are committing these ambush attacks.

John Lott his always rational and even keeled. He’s right. It’s gonna get worse. It’s getting worse. There’s an incorrect perception that guns are they problem. It’s lazy thinking and easy to believe that. And of course we know schools today condition students not to think at all.
We have to ramp up gun rights efforts. We need to embarrass gun control advocates so badly that they’ll be afraid to promote any more control.
